Settings saved on your device
Your browser also keeps a few settings in its local storage, so the app remembers them between visits. These are not cookies: they stay on your device, they are not sent to us with every visit, and they are not used to track you.
- whether notifications are switched on for this device
- the language you chose for the site
- the currency you chose for prices
- when the app last checked for new messages
- if you try the preview app before signing up, the profile you make there, which stays only in your browser
Counting visits
We count anonymous page and feature events without cookies, and you can opt out in Settings. The count does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and contains no personal data.
What this switch does
- We count how many times things happen each day, such as a page being viewed. Each count is a number: it is not a record of who did it, and it is sent without your sign-in cookie.
- Switching it off saves one setting in this browser’s local storage, so we remember not to count you. It applies to this browser only: choose again on another device, or after you clear your site data.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we count nothing, whatever this switch says.
No outside companies
Our fonts and images come from our own server, so visiting ImmigrantsDating does not send your details to Google or any other outside company. The only one that receives your IP address is our host, GoDaddy, which needs it to deliver the pages to you. There are no adverts, social media buttons or tracking pixels.
Clearing them
Logging out ends the sign-in cookie. To remove everything, clear your browser’s cookies and site data for immigrantsdating.com. You will then need to sign in again, and your device settings will go back to their defaults.
Changes and questions
If we ever change what we store, we will update this page and section 8 of our Privacy Policy first. Questions: privacy@immigrantsdating.com.
